DAY THREE : DRAFT STRATEGIC PLAN INQUIRY : 9th October 2014

Another long day with St Modwen (developer) trying (with all the other developers and their agents) to undermine the housing allocation for the county and the distribution (as in how many in ERoY and how many in Hull and also York).

Please note that yet again St Modwen have used our Parish Plan 2011 against us and in support of their plans and to undermine the ERYC at this Inquiry.  We rebutted/kicked their points into touch yesterday and are doing so again next week.  It makes sorting out doing a Neighbourhood Plan (NHP) all the more important as it has legal status which the Parish Plan does not.

If you haven’t returned your form to us there are hard copies at the Social Club together with a drop off box as well as being downloadable from SOF website.  Please complete it and return it to us (drop off boxes also at the PO and Dr Mitchells) as it is clear that it is the way to go for us to become community led in terms of development and planning (like others) and NOT developer led.

This Inquiry, like the Melton Fields one, is not sitting on Monday but will sit all next week and then resume 4th November 2014 (it is being heard in two parts).

Please come along and catch up with us and show your support on Sunday 12-5pm at the Social Club – enjoy the live music, have a drink and some food.  We hope you can make it as Ade is doing his famous hot dogs!
