November 2014
Final day of the DSP Inquiry was yesterday – 18th November – when ERYC confirmed that they are seeking to change the allocation of housing for North Ferriby Village from the proposed 85 to now 160 (and it is the same for Swanland).
SOF opposed the new allocation and how this situation has been arrived at by ERYC. Our submissions are on our website under the tab More/ Draft Strategic Plan Inquiry.
ERYC intend to make the change in the allocation a main modification to the DSP and will hold a public consultation process on it probably in the New Year - with a further session before the Planning Inspector on all the proposed modifications for the whole DSP documentation sometime in 2015.
Our Parish Council made representations yesterday on the current 4 sites proposed for development (total 85) but not on the new allocation (160). Both our Ward and Parish Councillors were observed in corridor conversations with St Modwen and their barrister.
SOF have attended throughout the DSP Inquiry and have the only complete set of notes other than the Inspectors. We have sent out daily updates to everyone on our email database and these are on our website. Hard copies are in the red SOF files at PO, Dr Mitchells and the Social Club including our submissions.
Today SOF Crusader Teddy made his debut photo shoot with HDM photographer Jack Harland.
