APPEAL HEARING NEWS
SOF have liaised with the Secretary for State legal team who have confirmed that permission to appeal has been granted to St. Modwen concerning the Melton Fields Development.
This matter and the proposed development on the only green space remaining between the Villages is far from over.
Please keep supporting and keep your placards visible and up.
Regarding the Parish Council comments on their website concerning placards:
NO COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY SOF.
SOF wrote to Ms Lambert, Clerk to NFPC and SOF Chairman, Emma Reid-Chalmers, spoke with Ms Lambert and requested that any complaints concerning the placards and boards be referred to SOF. This was agreed by the NFPC as being the correct course of action as SOF is totally independent and not linked to either the Parish Council or ERYC or any other body, (the letters were prominently displayed on SOF double boards and on the SOF website and Facebook page).
TO DATE THERE HAVE BEEN NO COMPLAINTS OF WHICH SOF ARE AWARE CONCERNING PLACARDS AND IT IS VITAL THAT SUPPORT AND THE CAMPAIGN IS KEPT VISIBLE AS SOF SEEK TO STOP THE DEVELOPMENT, LOSS OF GREEN SPACE AND BUILDING ON KNOWN CONTAMINATED LAND (from Capper Pass - click here)
As far as SOF are aware the only people raising any adverse issue with the campaign are the Parish Council.
